I went from Bulgarian method to the Jim Schmitz program and it’s tough and challenging. The CNS is pretty taxed after the 1st movement. I feel as if I’m improving in strength at a great pace, which makes all the hard training worth it. Hit 125 kg in the jerk from rack, 142 in jerk recovery and 100kg in the 3 sets of two power clean and clean squat, you rotate these movements off blocks to get more hip drive. After 6 reps you are thinking how will I get through this session? My goal is important so I attack each rep as if it’s my goal lift, this allows me to get the most from myself. Also check out Ben Claridad’s blog alongthelinesof, he talks training and sweater vests and just being yourself but having an understanding for people that are p90xers.
