Being coachable

I hit 140kg in the clean on Friday and probably had enough for 5 or 15 more. I’m being coached right now by Don Weideman, the right hand man to legendary Olympic coach Jim Schmitz. I trust and believe in their programing. I told Don that I want to break some records! I understand now I’m at the point where great coaching makes all the difference. It’s about getting the most out of myself. 140 kg happens to be the Pacific weightlifting masters 85 kg weight class record for the clean and jerk. I’m weighing in at 78kgs. Wanting to become better means being coachable and learning from others who have paved the road to get to where you want to be or accomplish.
